Waska Drift

There is a great article about Waska at the Calgary Herald right now, which you can read HERE. The highlights about Thomas are posted below – and there are some interesting updates regarding his character. I’m very excited about this role!

….Thomas Dekker… it tells the tale of a young father who leaves his three-year-old son in the truck when tracking some deer. The boy wanders off and dies, bringing a wave of grief and anger over a small Montana town …

“It’s about the grief that the community deals with when they discover the kid didn’t survive in the snow,” says Dellal. “Although it sounds pretty bleak, I think the father realizes there’s only one thing for him to do, which is to join his son in another world.”

… Based on the bestselling book Angels Crest by Leslie Schwartz, WASKA tells how the 20-year-old father (Dekker) descends into a nightmare of grief and guilt after losing his boy in the mountains. An out-of-town district attorney (played by Piven) decides to mercilessly pursue charges against the father while battling his own demons. … “He wants to challenge this guy who didn’t appreciate or take care of his son in the way he would have done, had he been given the chance.”

… Dekker played John Connor in the Terminator: The Sara Connor Chronicles TV series and will next star in the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street.

In other news, Thomas’s twitter makes quite an amusing read – check it out, from the drop-down menu.
