Thomas Dekker Goes KABOOM

Just Jared posted some beautiful new pictures of Thomas promoting Kaboom today in France!

Thomas Dekker rocks a headband at a photocall for his new movie Kaboom during the 2010 American Film Festival on Sunday (September 5) in Deauville, France.

Pic, which co-stars Roxane Mesquida (pictured here), is a sci-fi story centered on the sexual awakening of a group of college students.

“Kaboom is a really original screenplay,” Thomas has said. “It’s a sex movie, it’s an apocalyptic movie, it’s a rock n’ roll movie and yet it’s also an art film…By the way, apocalypse in this movie means a lot of things. It’s definitely not The Day After Tomorrow. It’s its own thing. Mainly the particular challenges for me were of vanity.”

Brief Thomas Mention

There is a brief mention of Thomas as Lance Loud in Cinema Verite at Project Q Atlanta’s website.

• First look at Thomas Dekker as Lance Loud. Who? Loud was many of mainstream America’s first gay man when his family was profiled in PBS’ groundbreaking 1970s series “An American Family.” The series is scheduled for HBO in 2011. (Dekker as Loud with Diane Lane, fourth photo) The real Loud died of AIDS.

All is quiet on the news front, other than the continued interest in Cinema Verite.

“Pretty” Dekker has “Luxurious Locks”

There is starting to be a lot of press around Cinema Verite, which Thomas wrapped in New York City on Tuesday.

The most interesting article to surface since Just Jared’s feature was from Stylelist and directly mentions Thomas in his jacket and wig. You can read the full article here.

Joining Lane as she strolled through New York City’s Central Park was actor Thomas Dekker, who, with his luxurious locks and far-out leather jacket kinda looked prettier than his dowdy co-star.

Another article posted by the UK Daily Mail mentions Thomas also and gives more information on the film.

Dekker plays son Lance who comes out as gay on the show, while Tim Robbins plays Pat’s husband Bill Loud.

There is also a great article at Baltimore City Paper about All About Evil, with mentions of Thomas.

One of Deborah’s biggest supporters is the horror-movie fan and sensitive high school boy Steven (Dekker), who is earning a reputation at school as an Eric Harris/Dylan Klebold powder keg that needs to be watched. And when one of his dates to Deborah’s theater becomes the star of her next attraction, even Steven’s mom (Peterson) wonders just what her son is into.

Just Jared posted some beautiful pictures of Thomas filming in New York City today for Cinema Verite. I’ve got to say, I’m loving the wig!

Thomas Dekker shows off a long new do while shooting scenes with Diane Lane for their new HBO flick, Cinema Verite, at Central Park’s Bow Bridge on Tuesday afternoon (August 24) in New York City.

Cinema Verite is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the groundbreaking 1970s documentary series An American Family, which is considered to be television’s first reality show.

Tim Robbins and Diane play parents Bill and Pat Loud while Thomas portrays their son Lance, who comes out as a gay man on the show. James Gandolfini will portray visionary producer Craig Gilbert.
